I speculate that Light will be arrested. This is from a producers standpoint the most viable option. What we expect now is Light to win, so to do the opposite.
But, IF we expect this, then the best option for maximum surprise would be that Light would win. But how to flesh out 30 minutes worth or story into something that is mere seconds away.
There is also the possibility that Light will get killed, and then become a death god. Based on the hint “Neither heaven nor hell” this is probably where the users or the Death Note ends up. If light ain’t to restricted, he might just bring about the new world he wanted. He wont be part of it thou.
